TERMS OF SERVICE

 We have different policies for our Premade items versus our Commission work (Made to order and Custom items*). Please make sure you are referring to the right section 

PREMADE ITEMS

Premade items - shipping 

Free shipping. Australia, New Zeland - shipping surcharge $20 for distance

International shipping for all items is DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), except where local regulations require additional charges beyond our control. 

Shipped via state postal services with tracking. Estimated delivery time from Ukraine: to EU/UK - 15 days, to US - 21 day

U.S. Domestic Delivery:
Shipped primarily via USPS Ground Adnantage. Estimated delivery time: up to 4-7 days.

Premade items - returns & exchanges 

We accept returns and exchanges of premade fursuits and costumes shipped from our U.S. warehouse to a U.S. return address. Buyers must contact us within 7 days of delivery and ship the item back within 10 days. Return shipping is at the expense of the customer, except for our mistakes. 

We accept returns and exchanges of premade fursuits and costumes shipped to the EU, to an EU address. Buyers must contact us within 7 days of delivery and ship the item back within 10 days. Return shipping is at the expense of the customer, except for our mistakes.

Returned items must be in their original condition, unworn, unmodified, clean, and free from odors, pet hair, smoke, or damage. Please write to oneandonlycostumes@gmail.com to obtain return address. Refunds will be issued within 5 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected.

COMMISSION ITEMS

Commission work - any item made according to the customer's measurements, character design, color choices, or other custom specifications is considered commissioned work. Made-to-order work - our past works that we remake on customers request is also considered commission. 


CUSTOM FURSUIT/COSTUME COMMISSION TERMS

1. Age Requirement
Customers must be at least 18 years old to commission a fursuit. By submitting a commission request, the Customer confirms that they meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Design Approval and Changes
The Customer must approve both parts of the final design: the foam head base and the technical sketch specifying colors and measurements. Any design changes requested after approval will be charged separately.

3. Payment Schedule
The total commission price is paid in three installments:

  • 30% deposit before production begins.

  • 30% upon approval of the completed head.

  • 40% upon completion of the full commission, before shipment.

4. Payment Deadlines
Each payment must be made within 30 calendar days of the payment request. Production may be paused until payment is received. If payment remains outstanding after 30 days, the Maker may cancel the commission and resell completed or partially completed work, with or without modifications, subject to these Terms.

5. Work-in-Progress (WIP) Approval
The Customer must review and respond to WIP requests within 7 calendar days. Delays caused by the Customer will extend the production timeline accordingly.

6. Cancellations and Refunds
Commissions may be cancelled before production begins. Any refund will be issued less any applicable transaction fees. Once production has started, the 30% deposit is non-refundable. If the Maker accepts a cancellation during production, any refund of payments beyond the deposit will be calculated based on the work completed and costs incurred at the time of cancellation. Completed commissions are non-refundable, including in cases of buyer’s remorse or a change of mind.

7. Buyer’s Remorse
A change of mind, change in personal preference, or feeling that the completed fursuit no longer represents the Customer’s character is not grounds for a refund.

8. Completed Commissions and Ownership
Completed commissions must be fully paid within 30 calendar days of notification of completion. The Maker retains ownership of the fursuit until full payment is received. The fursuit will not be shipped or transferred before full payment.  If payment is not received within 30 days, or if the Client refuses to accept the Commission (as evidenced by written confirmation), ownership of the Commission shall transfer to the Maker. The Maker shall have the right to sell the Commission, with or without alterations.

9. Media and Promotional Use
The Maker may photograph and display the commission and WIP images for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties before production begins.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
The Customer must contact the Maker to attempt to resolve any payment issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting the Maker constitutes a breach of these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable law.

11. Agreement
By paying the deposit, the Customer confirms that they have read and agreed to these Commission Terms and the Maker’s Terms of Service.

Commission work - shipping 

Shipping for commission work is calculated separately in each quote. International shipping for all items is DDP (Delivery Duty Paid).
