FAQ
Are your fursuits mass-produced?
We make multiple copies of most fursuits because good design requires investment. Without this approach, our costumes would be more expensive. While even one copy of an original design means it's no longer 'one of a kind' (as noted in our descriptions), producing 2-3 copies doesn't necessarily make it 'mass-produced.'
Most costumes in the $655+ price range have no more than 10-15 copies. Those in the $395-$440 range usually have more than 10-15 copies, as they are often purchased for kids who primarily use them at home. Costumes in the $850+ range are truly one-of-a-kind.
How can I be sure the size is correct?
To determine your size, measure your full height and head circumference (with glasses if you plan to wear them in the fursuit). Compare these to the measurements provided in description to each costume (such as drawing of the head base with internal circumference, and full height range).
For greater accuracy, measure your head height and compare it with the internal height of the head base.
What can I see out of the fursuit?
The horizontal vision angle is 90 degrees (45 degrees to the right and 45 degrees to the left of the nose). In our fursuits, you can see well with both eyes, as the distance between them is similar to that of a human. If you look straight ahead without bending your head, you can see objects 2 meters in front of you on the floor. However, to see objects in your hands or very close to your body, you'll need to bend your head down.
How long can I stay in your fursuit?
It's very individual and also depends on the temperature. 95% of our fursuit heads have adjustable mouths, so breathing should be fine. The eye netting is breathable, and in case of dehydration, you can drink water through the mouth."
How can I make my fursuit unique?
We offer customization options for a free from $15 to $150, which means production will take 3-6 weeks plus shipping. You can also personalize our standard characters by adding glasses, a bandana, ear and nose rings, changing eye color or hair, or adding other custom accessories.
Is there a difference between your costumes for kids and adults? Why pay more for an adult costume?
We design costumes for kids with a more 'toony' style and at a lower price. Our costumes priced at $395-$440 are more 'toony,' made from simpler materials, and crafted by less experienced team members (1-2 years with us, but with 5-7+ years of experience in handmade work). Adult costumes are more realistic; 100% of them feature adjustable jaws, are made from higher-quality materials, and are crafted by senior team members. Regarding headbase sizes, the standard size is the same, as kids generally have larger heads than adults relative to their height.
How can I be sure that my child won't outgrow the costume?
Each mask has a height limit. Children grow an average of 2.3-3.1 inches (6-8 cm) per year. Depending on your child's current height, you can calculate how many years the mask will fit.
Can I wash fursuit in washing machine?
Our fursuits are 90% sewn and 10% glued. They can be hand-washed with non-bleach detergent. We recommend wringing them out well, as the head base is made of foam, which shortens the drying process. Place the head with the eyes facing up to prevent them from soaking in water. Comb the fur when dry (we use a steel pet brush, but any brush will do). The most critical part of the fursuit during washing is the eyes. They are waterproof, so the paint isn't a concern, but it's important not to bend them.
